Well, after a ridiculously long hiatus, I'm back, with fresh devations of my Uni work which I am pretty proud of and thought I'd share, would be interesting to see what you all think

So, sorry for my complete lack of commenting on here, I have a rather sickening amount of deviations to look through *ashamed* But from what I have skimmed though jsut now, amazing stuff, nice to see how a lot of my fave artists have progressed with their work and style.

A bit of an update, if you're interested in this absent deviants life lol. Have just finished my first year at University with decent grades, a renewed interest in ceramics and a bit more stability in my life. I'm home for the summer until August when I, scarily enough, move into my own house sharing with too great friends!! Am incredibly excited, it's just tiring looking at all the different internet/tv/phoneline deals out there!! Also a bit of lovely news, I've happily been in a relationship for 3 months to the most AMAZING girl!!
And she's driving down here for the weekend (will hardly see her over summer) so im uber, uber excited!!

This work I'm updating, was the ceramics module and my chosen theme was 'ortraits' taking inspiration from Frank Millers comics and develloping the designs into stencils. I had planned to do many plates of the majority of my friends in age order, youngest to oldest, but that didnt work out, the best pictures were only of three of them, and I loved it!!! Used amazing new techniques which I'll talk about int he Deviant notes on there for the specific plates.
The other pieces of work are for the Materials module. The theme given was table top. I designed cutlery, made to compare functional and non-functional pieces. Made of thick, copper which I pollished myself and a wood presentation base. Didn't like this piece so much, making it was a bit more stand-offish with the material and less personal. I lvoe ceramics too much!!!

Nope, i've not dissapeared off the face of the earth.... just real life caught up with me waaay too much.

Which basically means, i've headed off to uni and it's been the bundle of fun i thought it was going to be, not had a spare minute to check out devArt, which is shown by the truly EMBARRASSING amount of deviations i've got to get through and look at

As for my own work, well, partying has taken up a *bit* too much of my time, which is really very bad. But I have been creating in Ceramics, Plastics, Wood and next week Metal, so when i get the pictures from my phone onto the comp I shall be sure to upload them for your viewed pleasure!!
The ceramics I found pretty boring, because it was all stuff I had done before, I found i couldn't really get enthusiastic about it, which was a pain.
The wood, more interesting, i liked working with it, but didn't find the work set very enlightening, again, i struggled to be enthusiastic.
Plastics has been much better, making a body adournement out of recycled plastic, using all the bending and heat workshop machine -you wouldn't believe the amount of time I have burnt myself...
Most excited for Metal next week, already had the two 'technical instructions'. The first one was learning to cut and bend the metal using guillotenes (sp?) and the ban saw, and some rather large, scary looking machines used to bend. The spot welder was fun, I had already used one last year, but this was a little wierder to use...and so I did of course burn myself again.Also cut myself numerous times on the metal I was working with.... something tells me workshops don't like me.... :S

As for real life....? Got waaay too involved with a 'relationship between couple of friends, who had split up. Led me to very much liking one of them, being led on -not purposefully i think- then much arguements with the other. All sorted now, for which i am very, very glad.
Turned into a bit of a party animal really, which is so different.... couple of my friends from home have said how i've changed...perhaps for the better, more confident etc. So i guess that's good.... I just need to step out of the 'dating pool' I think. lol
And what made it worse is thatall three of us are on the same hockey squad.... HOCKEY!!! omg, i am so, so, so, so, SO excited to be playing again. We've not won many matches, but i have scored a few goals and made some great, great friends. The social side is amazing too, just WOW hockey is utterly amaaaaazing!

so, that's it, an update on my 'work' and life.... hopefully what im producing now is of higher standard to what i've done in the past, we shall see i guess...

(oh yes, i've also picked up a midlands (stoke) accent, in which i sometimes type... baaaad times. lol have had the piss riped out of me numerous times when i've visited home haha)

it was a request for Emmy, and my first try with colour pens things..... brush tips pens, that's the one!! i dunno what you call 'em!!
but yeh, im not to keen on it, but, i'd love to hear what ya'll think!!!

oooh wow. first thing to say, the actor who plays tom riddle has alread won me 5 times over. he's just *got it* y'know??
its about 1am where i am and i can't give a little squeel like the fan-girl in me wantss to, but ooooooh, if there were rain outside i'd dance in it.
what intrigues me most here is at 00:55 seconds. thats GINNY is it not? and what she's doing in a puddle, outside. and she's just looks, from that, more GInny-like than i've ever seen Bonnie Wright look. uttelry brilliant.
and those luverly clips of Fenrir Greyback, i think he's going to be brilliant too.
i this just before or after that clip of Ginny, around that time, i noticed what i can only assume to be the one of the Riddle seniors???
and the dialogue between harry and dumbledore at the end title sequence. perfect. even if it was just speech....
what did y'all think????? im mean, WOOOOW!!! over all, i tink this is gonna be SOOO much better that OOTP, cos i wasn't a huge fan of the trailers in the first place, and this one just has me bouncing off the walls.


im really not sure how im gonna sleep now tonight....... le sigh.

working waaay too much for my liking, had some completely arsy customers...but hey, time to meet the 'great British public' yeh.... '____'

i not don emuch art either, which is ridiculous, im just so out of muses or, something like that...hopefully soem trips up to london will do it.... i know!!! a sort of request thing....would anyone like to give me some sort of inspiration to have something to draw, help me get back in the swing...oh i dunno, anything. im just very lost at the moment, art wise. *shrugs*
